Barcelona Bids Farewell to Messi by Burning Contract; Ex-Parisian Player Mocks the ‘Flea’

Paris Saint-Germain player and former France international Jérôme Rotin has criticized attempts to extend Argentine star Lionel Messi’s contract with the Parisian club for another season.

The contract of Lionel Messi (35 years) with Paris Saint-Germain expires next summer with the possibility of extending it for another season, but on the condition that it will be with the consent of the two parties.

Paris Saint-Germain are trying to persuade Messi to continue playing at the Parc des Princes, but negotiations between the two sides have yet to reach a final agreement.

“I know that Nasser Al Khulaifi and Luis Campos are listening to us now,” Rothen said in a statement to French Radio Monte Carlo.

And he added: “Paris should accept Messi’s offer of an extension, then rip it up, throw it in the bin, then set it on fire and say goodbye.”

The former France international concluded: “Messi wants the same salary as Mbappe. You shouldn’t mess around.”
