Egypt declares an increase in diesel prices on Thursday

The Committee for Automated Pricing of Petroleum Products in Egypt announced that it met on Wednesday to review the price equation and implement a mechanism for applying automatic pricing, and decided to raise prices.

She indicated that in the light of rising world prices for crude oil and petroleum products and the exchange rate of the pound sterling against the dollar, the committee had decided to raise the price of diesel fuel by one pound per liter so that the selling price in the local market would be 8.25 pounds per liter as of 2:00 am on Thursday, 04/05/2023.

The Committee also decided to fix prices for all gasolines at £8.75 per liter for 80, £10.25 for 92 and £11.50 for 95, and to fix the selling price of gasoline grade 95. ton of diesel fuel for the non-electric and food industries at a price of 6,000 pounds per ton.
