Egyptian Government to Waive Customs on Gold for Expats

Cairo 24 quotes its sources: “The Egyptian government has agreed to exempt expatriates from customs duties on their foreign-origin gold.”

And Finance Minister Dr. Mohamed Maait confirmed that a decision to exempt Egyptians abroad from gold customs would be made by the end of this week.

And he continued during television statements that “not a day will pass until the issue of freeing the Egyptians from customs on gold is resolved.”
