In recent field events, Russian forces repelled a combined Ukrainian multiple rocket launcher strike south of Donetsk and destroyed two Ukrainian reconnaissance teams, a Russian Defense Ministry spokesman said.
“In the direction south of Donetsk, joint missile strikes were repulsed, including two rockets of the HIMARS multiple launch rocket system and three shells of the Smerch MLRS system,” the Sputnik source quoted the source as saying.
The spokesman also said that Russian forces shot down three Ukrainian drones.

For his part, the acting governor of the Kherson region said that the Kherson authorities had identified a Ukrainian terrorist cell that planned to carry out terrorist attacks in crowded places in the city of Novaya Kakhovka.
He wrote on his Telegram channel: “Today, as part of the operational-search activities in the area of Nova Kakhovka, a cell of Ukrainians who planned a terrorist attack was revealed in public places.”
During the searches, caches with a large amount of explosives were discovered, confiscated and destroyed.
The Kherson region became part of the Russian Federation after a referendum was held there after the start of the Russian military operation in Ukraine, and at the same time, Kyiv does not recognize the legitimacy of the referendum and continues to bomb parts of the territory under the control of the Russian army.
And Russian media reports that over the past day, Ukrainian forces bombed the city of Donetsk and its environs 18 times, fired 97 shells and rockets, as a result of which one was wounded and houses were damaged.
According to the Representative Office of the Donetsk People’s Republic at the Joint Center for Monitoring and Coordination of Cases Related to War Crimes in Ukraine: “Over the past 24 hours, the Mission recorded 18 cases of shelling by Ukrainian forces in the direction of Donetsk, the enemy. fired seven artillery shells of 155 mm and 152 mm caliber. Kyiv forces shelled the city of Jasenovac with three artillery mounts of 155 and 152 mm caliber, and in total, Ukrainian forces fired 97 shells of various calibers across the territory of the republic.
The statement indicated that Ukrainian forces shelled the settlements of Yakovlevka, Gorlovka, Yasinovataya, Donetsk and Yenovka.
The day before, Ukrainian shelling was recorded using 34 shells and rockets of various calibers, Ukrainian forces continue to bomb residential areas and infrastructure in the regions and cities of the Lugansk and Donetsk People’s Republics, Zaporozhye and Kherson regions.
