Round-based zombies are rumored to be making their way into Call of Duty 2023, according to a recent leak or rumor from the content producer for Call of Duty zombies, Glitching Queen.

A QA playtester now testing round-based zombies scheduled to appear in Call of Duty 2023 is said to be the rumor’s origin, at least according to Glitching Queen.
As a result of confirming this information with reliable and reputable sources, round-based zombies will likely return in 2024 as part of a big revamp, and not in Call of Duty 2023. It is common knowledge that the current plan calls for Treyarch to implement zombies as a new type of challenge sometime between now and the release of their next game.
Playtesting is now taking place for both the upcoming installment of Call of Duty, brought to our attention by Glitching Queen, and for Call of Duty 2024. The released documents indicated the names of those playtesting Treyarch’s forthcoming title on various consoles. These documents had been compromised during the most recent data hack at Activision.

A new Treyarch Senior Level Designer job opening was posted earlier this month. It listed the following responsibilities: “As a Senior Level Designer, you will work on generating material for Call of Duty Warzone, Outbreak, and other large map experiences.” According to the job ad, as was to be predicted, the upcoming Black Ops game will include a brand-new large-scale Warzone terrain that will be playable in Warzone 2.0.
Given that the creation of Call of Duty zombies has been disorganized and unclear over the past couple of years, it is plausible that the current state of affairs may shift once more. Yet, we are rather certain that, as of this moment in time, there are yet to be any plans in place for round-based zombies in the year 2023.
What are your thoughts? Do you want to see zombies based on rounds in the Call of Duty 2023 game?
