Sultanate of Oman Ambassador to Egypt Abdullah bin Nasser Al Rahbi urged Egyptians to invest in the Sultanate of Oman.
The Omani Ambassador said in a special statement to the Egyptian Middle East News Agency that the Egyptian investor can invest in promising projects that the Omani government has identified as a priority in the 2040 plan, especially in the areas of mining, industry, food security, transportation, tourism and other.
He added that there are many promising opportunities in the two countries, and investors from both sides can invest in them, including, for example, in Egypt, the development axis in the Suez Canal, administrative capital, tourism and contracting sectors and others. , which is an attractive environment for Omani investment.
He said that economic relations between the two countries have witnessed a great boom, and this is reflected in the increase in the volume of trade exchange between the two countries to more than one billion dollars, indicating that the two countries are seeking to transform their wealth. established political relations into strategic economic relations that are in line with Oman’s Vision 2040 and Egypt’s Vision 2030. Especially since these two visions carry great ambitions for the future and are aimed at diversifying income sources and creating more permanent sources of income.
He explained that Egyptian-Omani relations are essentially a model of how Arab-Arab and international relations should be in terms of cooperation and maximization of common interests, as well as in terms of compatibility of views and positions and constant coordination between them, with attitude to solving regional and global problems Ancient, and the two countries and peoples have organic ties and common denominators, and each was supportive of the other.
The Ambassador of Oman mentioned the holding of an Egyptian-Omani business forum on the sidelines of the visit of Sultan Haytham bin Tariq to Cairo, in which Finance Minister Sultan bin Salem Al Habsi, Minister of Trade, Industry and Investment Qais bin Muhammad bin Musa al-Yousef took part from the Omani side and Abdul Salam bin Muhammad Al Murshidi, Head of the Investment Authority, and on the Egyptian side, Minister of Finance Dr. Mohamed Moait, Minister of Trade and Industry Ahmed Sameer Saleh, and Minister of Planning Dr. Hala Al Said, as well as a large group of businessmen ; This is done in order to strengthen the economic partnership between the two countries.
